In consideration of the social and environmental story of our time, We Are Islanders creates trans-seasonal collections that marry old crafts with new skills and celebrate the journey created by process and not plan.
The cut, feel and fabric of each piece is chosen to emphasize layering, making each a part of a larger whole. From conception through to process and materials the label looks for different ways to challenge convention and remains designed for those who want to look outwards. We Are Islanders is a design label based in Dublin, Ireland. Produced locally using only sustainable materials, this fashion label refuses to compromise on style and quality while remaining dedicated to better practice. From organic and fair trade cotton and reclaimed factory remnants to non-violent silks, Irish wools and organic salmon leather the materials used in all collections have been chosen for their luxurious qualities combined with their minimal negative social, environmental and humanitarian impact. All prints are hand-drawn illustrations and are screen printed by hand in Dublin using non-toxic dyes.
